Before and after the six weeks
First Six used to begin sharply at Week 1 and taper out at the end of the arc. Both edges now have a home, so the app meets a student across the whole shape of starting somewhere new — not just the six weeks in the middle.
What changed
- Before you start. Until a cohort's first week begins, students open on a pre-arrival home: a countdown to day one, a short list of head-start actions (finish your profile, find your people, learn the campus, get the essentials), and a preview of Orientation week as the institution loads it. It flips to the live weekly view automatically when term starts. See before you start.
- After the first six weeks. When the final week ends, First Six becomes an always-on campus companion for the rest of the degree rather than signing off. The weekly check-in and the six-week stepper step back; events, help, wellbeing, timetable, workspace, resources, maps, and saved items all stay one tap away. See after the first six weeks.
Both edges are driven by the cohort's real dates, so each student sees the right home for where their term actually is. Every surface on both screens respects the per-cohort feature switches, so a tool an institution has turned off never shows up as a dead end.
