The cohort browser

The Students area is a flat, searchable list of everyone in the active cohort. It is built for finding one person fast and seeing only what you need to help them.

Finding a student

Search by name, email, or degree code; the match is partial and case-insensitive, so a few letters is enough. Narrow further with the campus, degree, and group filters (for example, first-in-family students). The header shows the cohort's placement count so you can see at a glance who is placed and who is in an admin hold.

The profile drawer

Click a student to open a read-only profile. It gathers the facts that help you respond well:

  • Identity: name, preferred name, email, student ID, program, campus, cohort.
  • Check-in history: their sentiment week by week.
  • Help requests: a summary (total, open, crisis) and a table of every request with status, priority, and when it was last touched.

It is read-only on purpose. You can also move a student to another cohort from here when an enrolment changes.

What the drawer does not show

The profile shows what a student has shared with the team (their check-ins and help requests). It does not expose their private Workspace — tasks, notes, focus sessions, or the wellbeing reads they have opened. Those stay with the student.

Exporting

The full student list exports to CSV from the export page, with the columns a reporting or sync workflow needs (id, name, email, program, campus, the week they started, onboarding state, and their check-in and help-request counts).

Preview as a student

To see exactly what a particular student sees, use preview. Pick a student and a week, and the console renders their feed (events, briefings, to-dos, help routes) filtered by their audience tags.

Preview is a simulation, not a login. It does not sign in as the student and does not touch their private data; it just shows what your published content resolves to for someone with their attributes. It is the fastest way to check that targeting is doing what you intended.
